This is my son.
He is the reason I have gained so much patience. He is why my mind is open to understanding others so much more than I ever could have imagined. He is my heart and soulmate.
He has autism. It is not who he is, but it is part of how he is. He understands this about himself and talks about it often. Open your mind and tell your kids about others and their differences. Not just this month, because it is National Autism Awareness Month, but every single day and every single month.
He deserves it.
